The breakfast here is consistently stale or lukewarm. We used to enjoy dining here regularly, but it seems like the quality has declined recently.
I have lived in this area my whole life, and I used to love this restaurant before it changed. We stopped eating here because the food was consistently cold, burned, or simply incorrect. We decided to give it another try, but now I remember exactly why we stopped coming. To top it all off, all the employees were Mexican, which isn't a problem in itself, but when they started talking and laughing, it felt like they were making fun of us. Honestly, I felt uneasy about eating my meal. When my partner went in to pick up our order, he faced some frustration because it was completely wrong, and I worried they would be upset with him. It was even more ridiculous because the order ticket was correct, but they had misunderstood it. I’ve worked in food service before, and I know it can be better than this. Considering our experience, I don’t think we’ll be returning.
When I got to the window, I ended up paying nearly $20 for three biscuits, a cup of gravy, and two teas. I asked where my gravy and biscuits were. The young lady turned to a gentleman who seemed to be in charge and told him that I ordered a gravy biscuit. He said she was ringing it up correctly, and then she informed me I needed to pay an extra $2 for it. I was confused because I thought I had already paid for that. Regardless, I reluctantly handed over the extra $2 and some change, but it still felt wrong. We ended up with an additional biscuit that we didn’t order, which wasn’t our fault. They could have easily offered me some gravy or taken back the extra biscuit. Needless to say, we didn’t touch the extra biscuit, and now it’s just going to waste. Is this how Millennials are being trained these days? I certainly won’t let this mistake happen again! Honestly, I’m surprised I agreed to pay without arguing—I was just so hungry! Lol.
I had the 1/2 pound cheese GrillBurger and let me say it was one of the better burgers I've had in a while. Everything was fresh and the meat was nice and juicy just the way I love it. I'll be back to get another.
