Chinese Wok - Cornwall,Isles of Scilly

I really struggled to find the “plant based” addition to this restaurant due to the misleading/poor description of this takeaway. Once I found it, I was turned away because I didn’t have cash. I offered to pay by ordering online or by bank transfer, but apparently, they weren’t able to do either. Either way, this restaurant seems tacky, misrepresenting and kinda shady... I wouldn’t order based on this review and previous reviews. I honestly feel like I dodged a bullet...

Had a late night takeaway from Chinese Wok over the weekend. Food was top notch. Really liked all of it.

Awful experience, order placed. Daughter injected as she has diabetes, we called for updates but very little help. Delivered 1 hour late and the delivery driver suggested we should collect it ourselves and eat the food in our house when we spoke to her about our daughters diabetes. We then started on the food, it was barely warm missing part of the order and not worth it. Do not order from this company poor food and poor service.

Took over an hour and a half to arrive and was the most disgusting Chinese we have ever tasted. The egg fried rice was tasteless, the spring rolls the smallest we have ever seen, the duck looked like it was swimming in pond water and the chicken in black bean sauce was thick and congealed. If we had been eating in, we would not have paid for this and feel totally cheated. We wouldn’t have minded waiting 1 hour 30 mins if the food had been worth it, but it was horrible. Let’s hope we’re not eating it again tonight :

We placed our order at 8:05pm and were told by Just Eat that our food would arrive between 9:10pm and 9:25pm. However, the time passed with no sign of our order. After calling the restaurant, we were told that our food was out for delivery, but never received any follow-up. When we called back, we discovered that the restaurant had closed at 10pm. We never received our food and never received an explanation for the delay. To make matters worse, the Just Eat app falsely claimed that our food had been delivered. We filed a complaint with Just Eat and received a refund. We recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs, as they take your money without providing the promised service.
