I ordered the turkey with stuffing and my partner had the pork, and we were both extremely impressed. The portion sizes were generous, especially considering the reasonable prices. Our server, a young woman, was also lovely. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning in the future.
In these days is a real place pub that has not been modernized or has turned into a retaurant, rarely. the hawkins arms is one of the most excreted, good fresh st austell ales beer on hahn. friendly chat from local and from front house (the special care of a customer who needs help). the other welcome surprise was eating on Monday. we went for the burger who was really good. home made cole slaw, home made onion rings, good textur to the burger and beautiful chips that don't like! all good. Why only and not only because I like to find their premium hicks' ale in a st austell pub.
The staff at this restaurant were very friendly. However, despite expecting the food to be like what was advertised on the website, the menu turned out to be very basic and the food was average "pub grub."
We met friends at Trewithen Gardens only to find that the tea room was closed upon our arrival. Following a local recommendation, we decided to try a pub in Probus instead. The bartender seemed unprepared at first, but she was so welcoming that we ended up spending a pleasant hour or more in her company, enjoying the lunch that she was able to provide. If you are ever in Probus, be sure to visit this friendly pub.
So glad we visited, is a lovely place for drinks or dinner. Large garden for kids to run in and a cosy indoors. We were made to feel welcomed, considering we had a and old we were still made to feel at...home. Thank you!
