Contribuisci feedbackIt’s been a long time since we last visited Hilltop unfortunately. Came back again today for a breakfast treat and I wish I could visit more often. Wonderful staff and good quality breakfast. Thank you Team Hilltop.
We only wanted to grab a coffee to go, despite a previous unpleasant experience at this restaurant. We thought that getting just a coffee wouldn't be a problem. However, we were completely wrong. The staff were incredibly rude, making a simple request for sugar seem like a burden, and asking for extra milk resulted in huffing sarcasm. It's baffling why these people choose to work in the hospitality industry if they can't offer basic customer service or be polite and welcoming. We strongly recommend avoiding this place at all costs - the staff are miserable, stingy, and clearly unhappy in their roles. It's not just us who were dissatisfied, as we noticed other customers expressing similar frustrations. Perhaps it's time for the restaurant to either improve their service or consider closing down.
We couldn't get in to the nearby recommended farm shop which was not even dog friendly but here we were welcome with open arms. I got my Cornish cream tea which was delicious . The shop is very quaint and staff very friendly and welcoming . Tea was lovely and yes I did put jam on first!
I discovered this restaurant on a rainy, windy day and it was a delightful surprise! The menu offered a wide variety of delicious dishes and the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Additionally, they had a charming little shop on site.
A lovely lunch Friendly team from the go Good vegetarian choice, main menu plus specials. Lots of home-made dishes. Our two h-m fish pies were beautiful, as was the h-m sticky toffee pudding. Nice shop around which to browse; gifts, essentials and treats Thanks again.
