This seemed unreasonable as there was no notice posted informing customers that heated food items were still accessible on the shelves. Despite there being plenty of staff present, it appeared as though none of them were knowledgeable about their roles. This occurred during a prime time for afternoon tea.
For lunch, we ordered a fish finger sandwich with a side of chips, poached eggs on toast, a tea, and a coffee. The fish finger sandwich and chips were average, while the poached eggs were served on a cold plate with just a slice of toast, and the coffee was weak and lacked flavor. Overall, we would recommend avoiding this restaurant.
There was only one employee working behind the counter, serving and making all the drinks. I waited 15 minutes in line and was still behind four other people. It looked like there would be an additional 10-minute wait. Other employees were busy clearing tables and washing dishes. The wait for two coffees was unacceptable. The restaurant needs more staff or better management to prioritize customers waiting in line.
Visited the Hayle Branch Cafe around midday and although there were plenty of tables available virtually every single one had used cups, plates, discarded food etc on it. The napkin dispenser was empty, no small plates were available for scones, the Americana coffee was quite weak. Disappointing.
Cafe although long wait for coffee the service was very friendly Toilets were a complete disgrace good job I carry my own anti bac tissues as I felt that I couldn't even use the taps to wash my hands no staff around to let them know but this should be dealt with anyway!!! No hand sanitiser on entry again no one around to let them know
