I did not check my emails to confirm, but the staff were gracious and attentive throughout, and the food was loved by everyone. The lunchtime menu is short, but it catered to the vegetarians in our group and every item was well prepared and generous.
Sad to say did not live up to previous visit. Sunday lunch! Was a small menu with nothing special on menu. Sandwiches, lentil dhal… None of us enjoyed the meal. It was tasteless and very underwhelming. Nothing like the photos or meal choices advertised. Service was good, although the blue over shirt the waitress wore was very grubby and didn’t reflect the hygiene standard one would expect. Will not be returning sadly or recommend.
My second review of Temple and it's 100% positive again. Lovely spacious setting and friendly service. Top notch, imaginative food, that is well cooked, flavour packed and attractively presented. Good range of drinks the Ripe cider is well worth trying. Plus the best and most generous pot of tea in Bude! Tap water comes without asking with meals again something I really appreciate Opening hours are reduced during the winter so check that out before visiting. Will be back!
Quite superb- interesting and very flavoursome food with eclectic wine list. One of the best meals out I 've had for a long time. Dinner is an innovative set menu where there is a fixed trio of vegetarian dishes, with a main course choice. Plenty of thought has gone into complementary textures and flavours. This place deserves a wider audience.
Came for dinner mid week. They have a set menu where you get all the starters and then pick your main and there’s optional add ons. We had monk fish and hake both beautifully cooked and added on the scallops which were lovely. For dessert I recommend the rice pudding that was very special. With the extras, a bottle of wine, 2x Proseccos and 2x whiskeys it came to £150 which we thought was reasonable.
