We tried here for Sunday lunch, it was so good we went back the following week. Plenty of meat, perfect roast potatoes, along with yorkie, mash Swede, cauliflower cheese, and 3 other vegs. And amazing tasting gravy. Lovely surroundings with sofa to relax into afterward. Excellent Barman, friendly and attentive. We would be regular if lived near. A great find.
We were just here for drinks Bar manager very friendly Looked as if it had recently been done up and he said that it is one in a chain of 3 Spoke to a family who are staying there and they said that they are enjoying it They have a new chef coming in next week so can't provide any useful comments on food
Not welcoming, grubby interior and loud music during the day!!! Not your average hostelry and apparently gone downhill since hubby used to live in the area
The hotel has a car park at the back accessible through a small alleyway. The room was clean and tidy, and breakfast was included in the price and very enjoyable. The bed was comfortable, but it would have been nice to have a towel rail in the bathroom. It took about 20 minutes for the hot water to come through, as we discovered that the boiler is on a timer when another guest complained about their room being cold. It was surprising that there wasn't an extra pillow and blanket in the closet, as most hotels have them. Overall, it was a very good experience. The hotel is located about half an hour from Penzance.
