Saw a sign in Penzance so I thought I'd see if they could fit me in for Sunday roast. It was only me but they found a table thankfully. Place is really cosy and friendly. Seems like everyone knows everyone there. Ordered large Sunday roast . You got a choice of roast beef, turkey or pork. I ordered pork. Didn't take long to come out and jeez you get ALOT especially the vegetables. Peas, carrot and turnip, purple cabbage and cauliflower cheese. Plus I got alot of pork. Everything tastes great, homemade. The gravy was great to. I ordered a half of lager and the bill came to £15.40. bargain I think for what I got. Highly recommended!! They even had disabled parking. . One note, the drive up the road was narrow in parts so take your time and you'll be fine
Four of us stayed in two rooms for two nights and had two evening meals. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are bijou and clean; comfy beds and well stocked tea and coffee tray. The radiators work (joy! so you can have the room at the temperature you like (not as common as it should be! We had various evening meals between us: pork medallions were tender and tasty, fish and chips, vegetarian lasagne and scampi were all very nice. The usual breakfast selection with the Full Cornish Breakfast being enough for anyone. Oh, and they serve proper chips as well!
Beware! Overcharged by a bottle of Sauvignon have emailed twice and had no response at all . At the time we was there it was not busy and our friend has lots of allergies so I am sure they must remember us Have asked them to check their stock but not even the decency of a reply
