The food was dire and I can't say the service was any better, just plain rude, don't expect to be made felt welcome at all. Went to complain, the locals who were sat at the bar said don't bother that's the owners son Finn it won't get you anywhere, they will just say you are wrong. Will be avoiding from now on..
I spent a few days at The Ship Inn and found the food to be very good, the beer to be nicely kept with plenty of choice and the people were very welcoming. The Pub has a great atmosphere.
Book in advance as advised they book up early for the carvery. Fathers day with our booking we went there. No carvery, very little on the menu that we could eat. Ruined my husband's father's day. Menu they had was poor
The food was really well cooked and value for money. Staff all very friendly and helpful , pub and the beer garden really lovely , especially on a summer evening. Would recommend A+
