I ordered the pea and ham soup for £9, expecting something exceptional. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The soup seemed to be made from mushy peas with chopped up supermarket ham on top. I had hoped for some nice bread to go with it, but was let down by a small brioche bun that appeared to be heavily toasted to mask its staleness. I would recommend saving your money and dining elsewhere!
We visited this restaurant the day after it was named one of the top ten beachside cafes in the country by The Times. Despite some previous negative reviews about the service, we had high expectations. However, we were pleasantly surprised as the service was actually quite good during both of our visits. The food, particularly the monkfish tacos and halloumi wraps, were delicious and got my vote. Don't forget to ask for 50 pence for the restroom - it seems to be a common practice here!
We were recommended to visit Trevone in Padstow by a local and we happened to catch The 'Stowes performing. The atmosphere was enchanting, with sea views and a sunset as we listened to traditional folk music by the talented band. Despite a one-hour wait for our pizza due to being busy, it was worth it as the pizzas were delicious with fresh toppings. We will definitely be keeping an eye out for future events during our visits. Overall, a very cool experience!
This spot is the perfect location with well suited food from their full breakfasts to well balanced street food menu during the lunch and evening. We found the staff really friendly and helpful and enjoyed spending most nights on their terrace at the bar. My only advice is to ask the staff if you need the toilet as they will give you 50p, instead of using your own. Will definitely be returning next year!
This place is such a lovely spot. The Beach, the food, the friendly team. It’s brilliant!! Sadly, what really lets this place down and my low score are the toilets. They are awful. Having to pay 50p is one thing (which I wouldn’t mind) if the toilets were in anyway nice. They are disgusting and after having drinks at the bar you need the toilet quite a bit. Please please please sort the toilets out!! It stops me from going to the bar, beach. I am sure they do not reach hygiene standards. No toilet paper, out of order toilets, unclean, nothing works…. So so sad
