Gen Korean Bbq House - Corona

The music was really loud around lunch time. There were a lot of flies buzzing around the table. There was only 1 waiter working. WE barely got our food coming, they need more waiters. I had to order 3-4 times for the second round of meats to come. I won’t be coming back here. There were about 6-7 tables and only one waiter.Food: 3/5

1st time trying Korean bbq and this place was perfect. The cleanliness of the restaurant was perfect. The music was amazing. The taste and selection of the meats was drool worthy. The service was quick and our waitress, Amber, was so attentive and nice. We’ll definitely be back!ETA- we’ve been back 3 times in a month ? and luckily we’ve had Amber as our server. She truly is the best!!

We waited an hour to find out they took us off the waiting list . Then when we sat in front outside they must have put us back on the list. I felt bad for the waiter, he was good but had too too many tables to handle. Took forever for him to come back but don’t think it was his fault. I’d say bad management. Had to order gyoza 3 times before we were told they were out of that item. My daughter was not happy as she waited throughout the meal but then couldn’t have her favorite. When manager came by we said we’re done but he did not bring us the check. Had to get his attention 10 mins later to pay. Definitely will not be coming back. Will continue to go to the Korean BBQ on Magnolia. Way better overall. They treat you better and way way less wait. Very good management at the Magnolia location.

This Gen location honestly has the potential to get a 5 star rating. But, every time I go there’s always at least some little thing that happens that brings the experience down. Service will be painfully slow, an order will be forgotten, or they will be out of some of my favorite dishes. Yet, even with those drawbacks I still end up having a good time and enjoy the food I do get. Overall, it’s a fun experience with good food. Also the yogurt capri soju was pretty good.
