Mimi's Cafe - Corona

Last night, we arrived at 10 PM and were seated right away, which was no surprise since there were only 2-3 other tables occupied. However, I noticed that some tables were still dirty, which is a bit of a pet peeve of mine; it makes the restaurant look unkempt when they aren't cleaned promptly. It was happy hour, so our waitress offered us beer for $1 off and wine for $2 off. Both my partner and I ordered from the "Back to School" menu, which features an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert for just $12.95. We could also add a lemonade, limonade, or ice cream for only $1 with this menu, which is available until September 30th. I chose the French onion soup as my appetizer, salmon hollandaise with asparagus for my main course, and chocolate mousse for dessert. My partner had the same starter but opted for a half-rack of baby ribs for his main. We also shared a side salad since we were quite hungry. We both enjoyed our meals immensely and were too stuffed for dessert, so we decided to skip that. There was a small hiccup with the register; the waitress mistakenly charged us for an additional "Back to School" dinner priced at $12.95 but quickly resolved the issue when we pointed it out. Overall, we were very satisfied with our dinner, just as we expected!
