Fantastic! Make sure to try it right away. The atmosphere is a bit rustic, but delicious food is worth seeking out anywhere. I had two brisket tacos, which were excellent. I also tried a bean, egg, and cheese taco—hands down the best I've ever had. There's just one person working inside, and it's quite impressive how they manage everything. I will definitely come back!

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The tacos are delicious! I remember eating here back in high school while reading a SK book. After that, I completely forgot about the place. Recently, I revisited and the cook—who I suspect might be the owner—asked me how I liked the book. It's been 12 years since then!

I agree with the other review. I have also been comin to el mesquite for years, ever since I was little and what keeps me comin back are the breakfast tacos!! It's down the street from my parents house, so convenient to call our order ahead and pick up breakfast tacos anytime of day! The lunch menu is also great, I feel like I've grown up with this place the owner has known me since I was a little girl..try it you won't be dissapointed and don't let the exterior fool you most great restaurants aren't anything special from the outside or even the inside..let the food be the judge
