The cheesy garlic bread was good but the two chicken dishes we got were just OK, and the portion sizes are honestly quite small for $16 plates. The service was great, and the waiter was very attentive and nice. The ambiance is a quaint small Italian place. I like to support local, but my pasta at home is better.
The food used to be amazing here, we are from out of town and sometimes stop on our way home .. this last time we went it was gross!!! I don’t know if they sold the restaurant or something but it’s not the same .
Hidden Gem ? Recommend 1000% Real Italian food. Coming from Houston I left speaking Italian.
I have been eating here since 1969. I literally used to fly down from my ranch and pick up tons of food. The owner, who passed a few years ago would have my order ready at 3:00 because 10 years ago the closed between 2:00 and 5:00 If my memory serves me right. A bottle of salad dressing, known as Franks pizza sauce was always in order.
Seldom do I give 5 stars to a restaurant, I reserve that rating if I am blown away. I walked away from Frank's very impressed from a late lunch and wanting to go back to try a few other things. First, the old house is a step back in time, very cool. The lunch portion lasagna was very good, salad with the house Italian dressing was good, and together was just the perfect amount for a satisfying lunch. There are several lunch specials that are reasonably priced. The service was friendly and attentive. I love these long running restaurants with good food and character.
