Service felt a little stiff, which isn’t something we had anywhere else during our stay in Switzerland, and the food was just...a bit mediocre. I had the veal breast which was perfectly nice, but nothing special- seasonal vegetables as an accompaniment were just some boiled carrots, broad beans, peas etc and there was a strangely fishy pepper/ratatouille style arrangement served with the veal which I wasn’t expecting (seasoned with anchovy maybe? particular as I can’t stand fish. My partner is a veggie so had pasta, which again I think was perfectly serviceable but just not worth the money when compared to other culinary offerings you can get in Vevey
The Sunday Brunch was in a nice setting and the staff were nice and polite. It is quite expensive (Chf 78), but they charge for water, soft drinks and alcohol so it will be more. We were offered a glass of Prosecco on arrival which...was nice, but we are having a dry January so declined and ordered water and a Coke instead (charged for of course). The appetiser table was very good with a selection of meats and seafood. The desert table was also ok with a choice of cakes and pastries. The problem was the main course. There was a choice of Veal, Beef or fish. The only option was beef for us and we both went at separate times to be served. When I went up, the server had the two smallest pieces of beef left on his board and I thought I must be unlucky and he gave them to me. There were no potatoes, just cabbage and lentils. My plate looked (and was) empty. It turns out that I wasn't unlucky with the serving, it happens to everybody and the server deliberately only has two very small pieces of beef on presentation so you don's can't ask for more... I watched him, it is quite skillful really. It wasn't a main course and as we don't eat much sugary type deserts ended up going out for a proper meal soon afterwards. Having tried pretty much all the big hotel Sunday Brunches in Geneva and Lausanne, this one has been the worst so far and I would recommend the Lausanne Palace if you don't drink alcohol and the Mandarin Oriental in Geneva if you do (because the Champagne is included in the price).
This was one of the perfect fine dining restaurants I’ve enjoyed in Vevey. The food is a peace of art that you’d love to admire it for a few moments before having it. The staff was elegantly serving tables, and very professional and helpful, and...finally the Chef; an excellent food artist. An excellent place to enjoy a nice evening dinner with a breathtaking view of the lake. Thank you Les Trois Couronnes for making my evening a great one.
Our group lunch on the terrace was relaxing and lovely. I enjoyed the delicious ravioli and citrus cheesecake. The setting provided a nice ambiance on the lake.
The deck overlooking the lake with the steamboats passing in arms reach is just one of a kind. The setting, tables, chairs and umbrellas make for a very cosy lunch. Good service and winelist. Our vegetable lunch was perfectly prepared with crunchy vegetables stuffed with...a mini ratatouille laid on an eggplant caviar. 5 star hotel setting with prices in line with location and service.
