A cozy but pricey spot for meat lovers. The crispy duck should be called a croquette. Good service at the bar on a Monday night. Check in with the hostess before sitting at the bar. The German chocolate cake was excellent and huge!
The atmosphere was amazing! Beautiful scenery and great space. The food is overpriced and small portions. We were told the dishes were made to be shared family style, but the portions were not at all to be shared. The burger and pizza were the only dishes that seemed to be a good size. The food was okay and the service was pretty bad. They pressured us to order very quickly then pressured us to hurry and pay. We were a group of about 8 on the table for a little over an hour. The tables have a 2 hour limit.
This place is a local standout for a bunch of reasons overall, but the vibe of the place is what puts it ahead of a lot of other great restaurants. It’s a perfect date night restaurant. You can feel confident ordering any of their large steak formats... all are grilled over a wood-burning grill. They also use a woodburning oven for all of their roasted and baked dishes, which are all delicious. The action at the bar is probably the way to go. You can reserve bar seats online, which is easy and a fantastic option. I also think the best part of this restaurant is the fact that while there are some high-end items on the menu, they also offer an unbelievably great duck taco, hamburger, and pizzas that are all very affordable, and so darn good. Overall, it’s easily one of the best dining experiences available in the area.
Great food to share especially if you like trying a little bit of everything. We got the shishito peppers which were huge! We got the wedge salad which can feed about 5 people (the thick cut bacon really brings the salad together). The meatball pizza with arugula was surprisingly good as well. We got the bass which was DELICIOUS, the honey glaze really made it. We got the burrata salad which was eh (no need to get both salads, one is enough) the chicken casserole was a smaller portion but packed with flavor. For dessert I highly recommend the cornbread with berries it was Insane how good that combination is! 10/10 for food. It will be pricey but worth it if you are a fatty like me.
