Tacos Carnitas Pepe’s - Costa Mesa

I'm happy I returned to Pepe today on the west side of Costa Mesa. The mulitas and tamales are absolutely delicious. The restaurant is clean and inviting, and the staff is very friendly. I will definitely continue to support this family-run establishment in Costa Mesa.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. It's a true hidden gem in my neighborhood. I was in the mood for something special, and this place exceeded my expectations! I will definitely be returning soon.

The girl at the register was super helpful with suggestions and helping me customize everything in my order. We tend to have a lot of customizations and sometimes places forget or they don't care to make sure it's correct. I appreciated that this place did. She was so considerate of my family and it's greatly appreciated. The food was delicious and we loved everything. We ordered the steak quesadilla, three tacos, a chorizo burrito, an egg and cheese burrito, everything tasted great.

If you haven't tried this place yet, please come in!!! The food is very authentic, and very well seasoned. My daughter and I tried the carnitas tacos, and the green enchilada plate. Their tacos were delicious, and the enchiladas tangy from the sauce and even the chicken inside was well seasoned. Only thing I regret is not taking pictures. We were soooo hungry that we didn't even think. I'm Mexican and don't eat lots of Mexican food when I'm out because, I can cook it all myself. But..... This place is pretty dang authentic!
