Takaya takes reservations only (no walk-ins), but we called on the same day and were able to get a reservation for an hour later. This was on a Thursday, so it might be tougher to get a spot on weekends. Everything we tried was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the presentation of each dish was spot on.
The restaurant is very charming and beautifully decorated. The food is prepared in a unique way. The rolls have a nice flavor. I definitely recommend it.
I was in many Japanese restaurants in the USA and no restaurant can beat that. We live in LA County and we're 50 miles on our way to visit this restaurant. They serve very high quality authentic Japanese foods. The salmon sushi and sashimi are my favorites! Other foods are also great! The waitress speaks Japanese and English. I feel every time I go there. Very recommended!
This is my favorite izakaya! Every dish, particularly the yakitori, is cooked and seasoned to perfection. They offer a wide selection of beers and alcohol, and the staff is consistently friendly and fantastic. Highly recommended!
You have to call to reserve a spot it seems to be run by only two people and family owned. Food was amazing and so was service prices for yakitori are very well priced (same price as when I was in Japan) and just as (if not more) delicious! Definitely coming back here again.
