Cute little bistro, food is good also. Perfect place if you want to have a small lunch.
My mother and I met up with a family friend here last week. I was somewhat saddened to see the state of the Cavendish Mall, how it had shrunk in size due to housing developments, and how .... sad it felt inside. No longer the bustling retail Mecca of my teenage years (I was here when the mall opened! It was the best, with a fabulous Eaton 's anchoring the south side, and so many major stores and attractions). Anyhow, this small coffee shop is centrally located in the mall now, cordoned off by small fencing, where the old food court used to be. I wasn 't impressed with this bistro. The man at the counter was aloof at best. Brusque is more descriptive. My mother 's black coffee and my latte were pretty good but our friend found a hair in her coffee. (We weren 't sure if it was hers or the barista 's. It didn 't look like hers, but it 's possible). I will say, my mom and I shared a bran muffin and it was really good. Really good. Less positive is the fact that there was a mop and broom out in the open by our table (yuck). Also, they don 't take debit or credit for orders under $10, so if you just want a coffee or muffin, be sure to have cash on you.
I usually go there for the bulgogi sandwich and coffee. The staff is very warm and polite. On top of that, they always keep the tables (space) clean and tidy. ?
