Which makes it pointless to even go as you never know if its going to be open or not (what coffee shop is closed at 5:30 on a Tuesday? Or in the afternoon on a weekend? . Response to your comment: Since I have no idea when the mall is going to be quiet. I have no idea when you are going to be closed. I’d rather travel further to another coffee shop and know its going to be open when I get there. I have on multiple occasions walked specifically to go to your shop and found it closed when I arrived (even during your posted open hours . Tuesday around 5:30 (when I originally wrote this review was the last time, but not the first.
I had the worst experience ordering coffee today. The staff is lovely, I go when I am stuck in the mall and need a coffee, always order the same coffee, pay the same price. But today the owner served me for the first time and gave me the worst customer experience I have had in a long time. Tried to overcharge me for coffee by $2.55, and argued with me about it, her lovely staff pointed out her mistake, she gave me no apology and said that she should charge MORE! Wow, a simple apology would have sufficed, but instead she made it worse by implying that I was getting a good deal at the regular price. Awful customer service, I did not deserve to be talked to in this way. I will not be going back to this cafe. Not going to be a hardship, coffee, as other reviewers have rightly pointed out, is not that great, and is overpriced. I vote with my feet. Worst experience ever!
Good coffee dependent on who is making it. The food options aren’t great. Kosher friendly, nice atmosphere and nice place to study. They are usually open till around 7/8 dependent on how busy they are. They close early on Fridays for Shabbat and are not open on Saturdays. Also not open during the religious holidays. Clean place. Variations of coffee and drinks offered. They have pre made sandwiches and salads and some deserts as well. Danishes cakes etc. Believe it’s been open for around two years fairly new place.
Their coffee is very good, so are the pastries last time they had a quiche that was absolutely delicious. The 2 girls working this morning were courteous a pleasure to deal with, unlike some other places where the staff is surly. It's my new favourite place.
Both drip and espresso coffee tastes bad and is overpriced. The shop is cold in the winter because of a side entrance that lets the cold air in. However, the local is clean and is in Cavendish mall, so its one of the few coffee shops you can drive to and that have free easy parking.
