The park is wonderfully suitable for walking, there is a restaurant where the food is excellent. Besides, the castle is very pretty.
The Branitzer Park in Cottbus is really a dream. It is probably one of the most beautiful gardens and landscape parks throughout Germany, its 2 pyramids (land and water pyramids) attract visitors from all over Europe. You should have seen this park if you are in Cottbus or the surrounding area (like the Spreewald). Really unique what the prince Pückler created at his time. A really very beautiful complex with a great castle and beautiful museums!
This beautiful park can be very recommended for relaxing. The season should not matter here. The fresh green on a May spring day with lots of sun was simply fantastic for beautiful photos. Of course, the castle and the pyramids are recommended especially in the wide area. But whoever seeks peace and loves nature is here. Benches are offered enough. The entire park is always well maintained. Other activities include the animal park after the park, the parking lot and the Spreeauenpark. Parking is not necessary, the use of the toilet is 50 cents (one person and also per family). The parking fee is temporarily somewhat difficult to estimate, but depending on the planned stay in the lower part of the common price tables. There is also a very good information centre. Visitors should be guided even better to car/bus parking.
A charming park. Of course, the pyramids of Pückler are particularly visible. If you visit the park, they should not be missing. Otherwise it is a park like any other with the small difference that it is nicely clean and never full.
