Contribuisci feedbackUpon arrival the restaurant wasn't very busy and we were quickly seated. Our order was taken however the server returned promptly to confirm our order. We had ordered 2 mains and a garlic bread starter to be served at the same time as the mains. The mains arrived quickly but when we inquired about the garlic bread we were abruptly told we hadn't ordered one. As we were already half way through the mains we told them it didn't matter. Once we had finished the mains we were offered the dessert menu however this didn't arrive. By this time we had finished our drinks however it was another 15 minutes before we were asked if we wanted anything else. At this point we decided it was time to leave. We asked for the bill which was delivered to the table however no one was forthcoming to take our payment so we had to approach the bar to pay. Although the food was excellent I would not return based on the poor service received.
It has a school dining hall feel all sat in rows. Menus dirty, which didn't give the place a good start! Food is good although 2 meals came wrong. Staff sorted straight away. Don't think we'd go back to Barnard Castle, but we might try Richmond Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
Great restaurant! I had my first chicken parmo here too, so I was expecting a lot. Firstly; it was huge! Secondly, it was so juicy and tasty, with a great amount of sauce and cheese, just enough so you could taste everything. Wife also enjoyed her pasta that she couldn't even finish. Both of us had a starter that might not have been needed if we knew the portion sizes. Meal type: Dinner
