NIce country pub with good wholesome country grub. Lovely part of country and great stop off for walks in area. We had generous portions nicely cooked with pleasant service

We stayed at the Fox and Hounds for the first time since our usual location in Romaldkirk had just gotten crazy expensive. We were on the last leg of our UK bike tour. Rooms were comfortable and the food excellent. Lovely place for us to stop and the owner was fantastic! Definitely a recommendation for the future! Just loved the small living room they had as part of the accommodation. We were able to take our drinks upstairs and relax in private!

We have been to the Fox Hounds many times over the last few years and once again we found it to be absolutely fantastic with a great range of lovely food this was one of the last times that we managed to get away with our boxer dog as she died suddenly in July but we will definitely be back again In May 2024 with hopefully a new boxer puppy.

Very friendly pub serving some good food a very nice local ale. Sadly dogs are not allowed in the main bar (which had the open fire) but a side room that lacked the warmth and charm of the main bar.

Excellent Sunday Lunch.Plentiful and cooked to perfection. Sat in the dog friendly area with our hound and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Great service and a clearly well run pud with staff working hard to satisfy their customers. Highly recommended and you should book in advance from our experience.
