Loverley meal huge portions. Went for the prawns in garlic sauce. Highly recommend Cracking service. Great value for money. Good atmosphere.
Visited this country pub for lunch. Booked for 1.30, second sitting of the day. Quite a long queue to wait in but the food was very nice. Home made Yorkshire puddings, very tasty gravy and fresh vegetables. Meats were beef, Turkey or pork, with a good variety of vegetables. All for only £10 each, which I have to say was surprising as the quality was good. Too full for dessert, but saw others ordering and they looked amazing, would recommend and would definitely return.
After keep driving past I have always wanted to go in so a couple of Sundays ago we were child free so booked a tablet for Sunday carvery it was absolutely beautiful we actually drove from Sunderland to come we are staying up this way for Xmas I can’t wait to come back
This has to be the best place for Sunday lunch carvery in the Dale. Booking is essential! Everything is fresh, hot and as good or better than you do at home. Fabulous meats, Brian, who carves the meats has friendly banter and jolly sense of humour. The vegetables are al dente, huge Yorkshire puddings and lovely gravy. They also do takeaways. Highly recommend. Enjoy.
