Sambuca Seaham - County Durham

The food at this restaurant was excellent, and the staff were very attentive, especially one girl who went out of her way to take care of our deaf son. We will definitely be returning again.

What a find. The food was stunning, taste, heat, freshness. Service was excellent, friendly waiters with great sense of humour. Child friendly and apart from two small steps disabled friendly, plenty room for our daughters wheelchair so she could be sat at the table on a chair. Toilet was difficult to access if immobile, thankfully our daughter can manage a few steps. Only in Seaham for a few days but already planned another visit. Highly recommended.

We used to visited regularly for lunch and also on an evening for family celebrations and we had always enjoyed our meal, with plenty of choice and good value. Unfortunately I can't say the same when we went for lunch today. Still offers 33 course special however the pizza choce ibis much more restricted. The price has gone up but only to £7.95. I had potatoo skins and ordered the 4 season pizza. I was so disappointed I had to send the pizza back it was sloppy and soggy and inedible. The waitress did apologise and ask if I wanted anything else to be honest my appetite had be ruined so I declined. I also declined the icecream. I was amazed too find when we got the bill the pizza had been removed instead they had charged me the normal price for price for skins £4.95. It was clearly a smaller portion and ordered as part of a special. In my mind I should only pay £2.50 half normal price and be refunded half normal price of pizza. When leaving the restaurant there was no recognition that there had been a problem. I won't be back !

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is fantastic and the service is top-notch, very attentive. The prices for both the food and drinks are reasonable. Don't judge it by its exterior; it truly is excellent.

Stumbled across this restaurant that was a bit oldy worldy so we were a bit hesitant. No need, as the food was excellent ,the portion sizes were huge and the staff were very friendly.
