The food, while standard pub fare, is of good quality and reasonably priced. It seems like they use the microwave minimally. The pub is popular among locals and walkers on the Durham coast path. It is definitely worth a visit, especially for those engaged in outdoor activities. They are prepared to accommodate walkers and may ask you to leave muddy boots at the entrance.
My wife and I visited this place around the teatime. parking is available on the parking lot. my wife had the chinese chicken curry with hand-cut chips, it comes with crackers or they could have torn off, or I had a bodega pizza that I swore to get a side order of chips as I wanted a gloomy, and the room for a jam pudding with custard. the whole food was excellent. I noticed other dishes on the menu I have to try back, but overall the food was excellent and the lady that served us was really nice and friendly
Excellent village pub staff are so friendly and helpful. the decor is beautiful and the food service is excellent we thai green curry and mint and dumplings. they were both so delicious and well presented. followed by stick toffee pudding and custard and a beautiful chocolate brownie and eis also in free nizza and beautiful walks through the nature reserve, on the route to the sea we would highly recommend and cannot wait to go back
