The Joiners Arms - County Durham

We parked near the entrance of the inn and went to the bar where a friendly lady served us our drinks. Another lady then led us to our reserved table and gave us menus. We ordered our meals, which surprisingly arrived very quickly - the fastest delivery we had ever experienced. The waiter offered us extra items, but we did not need any. I chose a trio of meats for lunch and let the waiter decide. We were served 3 dishes of vegetables, but the chips were overcooked. The meals were delicious and flavorful. The dining room was a bit chilly, but it was a minor issue. We all agreed that we would return to this inn.

We went to this restaurant for lunch on November 8th and received a very warm welcome from Jane. We both ordered the joiners burgers and agreed that they were the best burgers we have ever had. We returned for the early bird special on Thursday night and found it to be a steal. I ordered the peppered pork and my partner had the cheese burger, both of which were out of this world. We only paid £23.64 for 2 meals and drinks, which we thought was brilliant value. Please support this little gem of a restaurant.

We visited this restaurant for the first time this evening and it won't be our last! The service was excellent from the moment we entered. The food was delicious, especially the fish and chips which were outstanding. We will definitely be returning soon. Great job to everyone and the chef deserves compliments - this restaurant is now on our list of favorites.

We ate here on Friday night as it was very close to the Airbnb we had booked for the weekend to see Kynren. We were greeted by very friendly staff members and had a drink in the bar. We ordered two starters between the four of us which were very nice and large portions. Not one of the four of us could finish our main course despite them all being very good quality and extremely tasty. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through.

Brilliant welcome, brilliant food, brilliant service, brilliant locals who made us feel really welcome. We all really enjoyed the food and the prices are really reasonable without compromising on quality. Would highly recommend.
