The Olive Stone - County Durham

I have visited The Olive Stone many times for both dine-in and takeout. The food is amazing, the staff is incredibly attentive and dedicated to providing great service and presentation, and the atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and inviting. I highly recommend it!

I hadn’t been to The Olive Stone until recently moving locally. We’ve tried their paninis which are delicious and a good amount of filling, not meagre like chain cafes. I recommend the bacon and Brie! We also tried their pizzas as a takeaway on Friday evening and they were absolutely delicious. The pizza base itself is lovely and light and the fillings were high quality and generous. It’s becoming our go to Italian cafe.

Always have the most lovely experience here, the food is absolutely fantastic and the service is great!

Lovely little place. We had pizza and a sandwich for lunch. The pizza was freshly made proper pizza (definitely recommended! Some cannoli and coffee for afters, again very tasty, the cannoli was a bit hard. There wasn't any dedicated parking, but plenty of street parking available on a Sunday. Prices are very reasonable.

Friendly and accommodating.Lovely food including some home baked cakes after lunch.Also delicious coffee , would recommend that you visit this amazing place.
