On Wednesday evening around 9:15pm, two women and two men left the restaurant. One of the women shouted at me and asked if I wanted to fight.
I recently had the largest Chef Salad I have ever tried. I added chicken breast to it and had a difficult time finishing it all! I hadn't visited the restaurant since it underwent renovations, and I must say, it looks much better now.
I stopped eating Ceasar salad in restaurants a long time ago. Watery dressing from a bottle, wilted lettuce, no flavour. you know the drill. But at Billy Ds, I asked for it as a side with my veggie burger (dry as they can be but very flavouful) and it was excellent! Thick dressing and full of garlic, real bacon on top, fresh lettuce very crisp. This chef knows their stuff! You must like garlic mind you. You must try it if you're a fan.
My husband and I used to go here for lunch all of the time when we lived in Courtenay. We returned recently for a visit and Billy D's was our first stop for lunch. We both ordered the beef dip and it didn't disappoint. Our margaritas weren't blended enough but that was minor. It's a nice little pub on downtown 5th St.
