Jo Klassen's - Courtenay

A warm local atmosphere before my ferry trip. Ordered the seafood plate which included two pieces of fish (I believe cod, and maybe a halibut? , fries, two battered fried oysters, shrimp and scallop. The fried portions were delicious, I really enjoyed the hearty large oysters especially. The handout fries were also a great addition. With the scallops I was left wanting more, perhaps an accompanying lemon green onion ceviche to compliment their organic salty flavor. Still great quality seafood and lovely front service who was attentive to our table and quick with our coffee refills. Will be back again when I'm in town.

I had take out but the friendly happy staff did creat a wonderful experience. The food was great, with hand cut fries WOW.

Been coming here for years, literally decades, as a visitor but just moved home. After 3 years of not getting to visit I'm so happy the quality and caliber of food and service has not changed if anything it's gotten better.
