Papa O's Seafood And Grill - Cove

Papa O's is great place to eat. The atmosphere is very family oriented and the food is delicious! We recommend everyone to go check them out!

My girlfriend and myself decided to give this place a visit after reading reviews. What a let down they were. I ordered a 4 egg omelette with sausage and cheese and home-fries. Yeah, home-fries that are frozen fries that are sliced up. They were over cooked. The omelette was made with eggs that weren 't whisked very much so the whites showed and changed the taste. The sausage was a off brand, bland sausage. Best part was the grits. My girlfriend had the 3 pancakes, 3 eggs, bacon. Pancakes were ok. The eggs were done to order. The bacon was under cooked a little. We both had orange juice that tasted more like sunny-delight. These two meals and 2 orange juices and a bottle of water was almost 25 bucks. And the waitress had to make 5 trips because they didn 't put the order together before saying it was ready. Took close 20 minutes to get our food and we were the only ones ordering. The people in the table next to us ordered and they brought their food out and the cook forgot to put the medium egg on the son 's order. So needless to say, we will not come be back.

Service was great, sweet tea was very sweet, and the coleslaw was great! Other than that not so great. The fries are the type with skins on so my daughter and I didn't care for them. My patty melt was okay, lots of onions and cheese. My husband had the chicken fried steak and said it was overly greasy and closer to 3am diner food. I'm not super surprised after seeing it is attached to a gas station. Gas station restaurant not what I expected after such good reviews. The male bathroom looked like a janitor closet with a toilet in it, with no toilet paper.

Come here for fried catfish and fried shrimp. Perfectly done. Skip the red beans and rice flavorless. Skip the fries over cooked, greasy, limp. Do try the mustard greens spicy and yummy.

We had patty melt, shrimp poboy, grilled chicken dinner. Salad was very fresh. All good! Very nice, friendly people.
