As soon as we sat down the place started to fill up and eventually people were going turned away. We both went with a soup dish, which we didn’t realise, came in a heated stone bowl. The soup never seemed to cool, but the flavours were amazing. Never disappointed.
What a little gem, Especially for Coventry Stumbled across this little sushi place, A few weeks, Don’t look the most exciting place outside, But the food is good, Outside looks basic, Inside is nice and clean, tables are quite well spaced Let’s not beat around the bush, The place isn’t rocking, with atmosphere I read another review, saying the place is small and shabby, But lets get down too the food the sushi is good, They don’t call me fat boy for nothing I’ve visited around 10 times Not tried the sushi boats yet, But suppose to be good Spicy tuna and salmon is good Yaki Gyoza is good Tuna Tataki good Salmon tataki good Chicken Katsura curry really good If you like Wagamama This is next level above, You will never visit Wagamama again Food Is very fresh, the chef takes great pride in preparing the sushi Really nice food Simple surroundings Basic tables and service is good Please note it Is not fine dining Just enjoy the food 1 hour visit max Atmosphere 5/10 I’m being generous, because I enjoyed the food It’s basic Seating and space 5/10 Staff 6/10 Don’t say much, but very efficient and polite Food 7/10 Worth a visit Just to taste nice sushi
The takeout food was delicious, but it was lacking in masago. The pickled ginger had a great flavor, and the service was quick. The only drawback was the uncomfortable silence with nowhere to wait (the host did not offer any seating), so we ended up leaning on the bar stools.
The day after eating, all four of us had diarrhea. The sashimi was extremely unfresh, and we could feel it while eating. The taste was mediocre. The service was also poor, and we were dissatisfied in every aspect.
Nice quiet restaurant, press the button on the table to call for waitress or to pay the bill, food came out quickly and piping hot. Tasted quite authentic and reasonably priced. Hot stone bowl bibimap £10.90, kimchi jigae £10.50 and Tori Karage £6.60. Tori Karage, really not worth the price, it's a few pieces of chicken balls, the other two dishes were tasty and better than I expected. Marked down for service as when the bill came to more than we expected, turns out the waitress added 4 drinks we didn't order onto our bill. After waiting 5 minutes, the owner came out to refund the money totalling £12.
