The steak I ordered was excellent, with the size of the portion was slightly pretentious. the service was wonderful and there was a good wine list.
Unfortunately, our experience in the restaurant was destroyed by the bad quality of the fillet steaks we ordered and the lack of reaction when we complained. our bill amounted to over £300, which meant that our service fee was about £30, which we think is unreasonable for a table of 4 adults and 3 children. on this wise we are unlikely to visit a marco pierre white steakhouse in future joan woodhouse
Good food and fast and efficient service. good wine palette on glass. interesting selection of menu options. we had shepherds pie and steak pie, both well presented and piping hot. a pleasant meal.
I was disappointed by my meal in the Marco Pierre White steakhouse. The calamari starter was a modest portion but tasty and well presented, but the main was very disappointing. For a restaurant that bills itself as a steakhouse, I expected a really good steak. Unfortunately that's not what I got; I ordered ribeye and whilst the flavour was OK, it was quite tough and gristly. The chips weren't great either. Not good enough especially once the fairly expensive pricing is taken into account. Nice glass of wine, though, and the staff were helpful, attentive and friendly.
