The Hare And Hounds - Coventry

We had been invited here for a surprise anniversary party that had been setup for some friends. There were the best part of 30 of us in attendance. The staff who so helpful and friendly and no-one had any complaints about any of the food or drinks ordered. A very good evening was had by all.

God help this place, it will be knocked down and turned into a housing estate soon I’m sure. 4 of us dined here and the 4 of us won’t be back! Vegan burgers were rock hard they were that burnt. Left my sister and her daughters mouth/teeth black every time they tried taking a bite. I had a pizza and when I say I brought the EXACT same Chicago town pizza from Tesco last week I mean it. I didn’t like it when I brought it for £2.99 and shoved it in the oven myself and I certainly didn’t like it when I had a “chef” cook it for me here for £11.50, thankfully I ordered a side of chips so I ate most of them but you can’t really go wrong with frozen chips. McCain ones to be exact, funnily enough I have those in my freezer too. The Chicken Kiev was dog s**t too. Morale of the story, if you think your dining at a nice countryside pub with delicious homemade recipes…think again.

We booked out the restaurant for our wedding reception meal on 5th June 2023. We had an intimate wedding with 34 guests and found the restaurant to be the perfect size for this. The Hare and Hounds were very accommodating and able to meet all of our needs. As we booked the restaurant, we were able to order in advance from the larger bookings menu which consisted of a large of meals. There really was something for everyone, which was really important to us as our party consisted of vegetarians, gluten free diets and people with autism. The room had speakers for us to play our own music and there is an option to pay for decorations directly through the events team too. We decided to pay for table and chair covers but to source the rest of the decorations ourselves but we found what we ordered to be very reasonably priced. Even more so because we did not have to pay for the room itself other than a small deposit. I was able to contact Kelly and Sue via email or phone call throughout the whole planning process as we are not local to coventry and they were always happy to help. Other great facilities include a large car park, high chairs and baby changing facilities, disabled access and a disabled toilet.

I needed a venue for a meeting at short notice. One that could provide food and drinks for at least 10 people. The Hare and Hounds found us a quiet spot for the meeting and served us with great food. Staff were really helpful and food and drink was great. I will definitely be going there again. Thank you to the staff and management .

Went for sunday dinner. the staff were great and so was the service. The food was lovely and as for the price. I do not know how they do it. Really reasonable. Absolutely worth trying this place. We will be returning very soon. Great Visit.
