Casa Moreno - Covina

This is the best Mexican restaurant in the area BUT their hours are terrible, I became several times earlier than the hours on Google or Yelp. Even if you call the closing times, you always change. The hours say they close at 9:00 to be sure I called at 8:15 and she says they close at 8:15, what kind of sh@t is that? So I'll call tonight at 8:00 and guess what, they're closing at 8:00. I guess they don't need the business from a long-term client...?????????

The service was good. But drinks are too expensive for what they are. Food is not authentic. This is an American restaurant that makes Mexican food. If you want authentic Mexican taste with authentic Mexican food, this is not your place.

We were there on Saturday, had to wait for chips to be fried... but when they arrived, the salsa was amazing! Vegetarian options available, food was delicious!! My son had the pozole and arranged the best restaurant Pozole!! Of course, Mother's homemade

I had the fish Tacos and my father had the Chile Rellenos, and both were amazing! Her cucumber margaritas were better before, this time it literally had a few scavengers on previous occasions this special margaritas had shaved gurke and you could really try it. So my drink was a little disappointment, but the food was pleasant

The menu prices on the website need to be updated, my Ensalada Azteca is listed at $12.95 but it 's $19.95 now. It was tasty but overdressed so it got soggy fairly quickly, it would benefit from a heartier mix of greens (it says mixed greens but it was basically shredded iceberg with a bit of shredded carrots) to keep up with the carne asada. The wet burrito would look better with some parsley garnish or something to offset the sea of red salsa (it was supposed to be green salsa). The Mololitos were tasty but when the server asked if I liked chorizo I assumed it came with the dish as I did not see any options listed, nor did he mention an additional charge (and it would 've been better without it) there was a $4 upcharge. When our food was served, one of the two dishes was not ours and it took about 10 mns to get my plate. Neither time did the female server take the empty appetizer dish, she may be new The house margarita was delicious!
