The Dakota - Covington

I got some of the worst treatment I've ever gotten in a restaurant in my entire life. The manager is my ex and didn't want me there. I got thrown out even though I was paying money to stay there. I got completely judged and disregarded due to the manager. Not liking me as long as he was there. I was being treated very badly. I do not suggest this business to any traveler that's coming here.I do not suggest this business to anyone who is coming into this town.The manager is rude and the owner doesn't believe you if the manager abuses you

Don’t walk, run! This is my new favorite date night place : Tyler made the best espresso martini I’ve ever had in my life! The food was phenomenal! We had the stuffed soft shell crab and the redfish, was so good halfway through my boyfriend and I switched plates! Took everything we had in us not to lick the plates clean! Tyler walked us through the menu with his recommendations of the lobster menu, the lobster Mac and cheese was almost like mama made it! So freaking good! We were fat and happy when we left! Definitely will be back!!

No parking ! Have to park in gravel lot next door and walk across bridge. So if it’s raining you get wet . 3 parking places out front but they tell you you can’t park there ??? Also , the nice bourbons are over priced , almost to the point of price gouging.

They don't enforce the dress code.If the Southern Hotel sends people over, they should share the dress code! Very good service. Parking is public only and there are many good restaurants now in the same area so it's difficult to park. I liked the modern upscale vibe,but there is high noise level due to no acoustics on ceiling. I noticed that our server felt she had to shout to communicate with her customers. A little pricey but no complaints about the food! Table was ready when we arrived on time for reservation. So happy the Dakota had been in business for so many decades.

Great Restaurant attentive wait staff , Food was exceptional and prepared with flare . Place was romantic atmosphere and very respectful owners. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Darrin
