We were initially recommended to dine at this restaurant by our motel receptionist, who knows the chef. My first impression was a bit biased. As we arrived at the Cowra Bowling Club, the crowded carpark indicated that it was a popular spot. Despite there being no bowls happening, it was clear that the patrons were enjoying other facilities. The warm and genuine greeting as we entered showed the sincere friendliness of the staff. We quickly realized that the Jack High Bistro was the place to be, as there was a long line of diners. Luckily, we managed to order the last two servings of Lamb Cutlets after confirming with the chef. Our meals arrived promptly and looked delicious. The food was hot and tasty, with a surprising inclusion of ample tomatoes in the salad, which is a rarity in recent times. The service provided by the mother-daughter hostesses, Robyn and April, was exceptional despite the busy lunch and dinner services. It was evident that the entire staff at the club followed strict covid-safe practices, which was appreciated by the patrons. We witnessed genuine gratitude from the guests as they left, which inspired me to write this review. Kudos to everyone at the CBC for a job well done.
The restaurant has a very friendly and helpful staff, with a good menu and super fast service. I went with a group of 7 friends and all of our meals were served quickly and were all delicious. The portions were generous and the food was of high quality. It's a fantastic place to eat in Cowra.
Turned up with a party of 12 mostly kids we got served straight away and the meals came out very quickly. All meals were of a high standard and no complaints meal portions were all a very good size.
Even though they were extremely busy, meals were still served quite quickly, would definately go again.
