Cafe rimon - COZUMEL

After a most excellent day of Cozumel diving in the rain, we were too cold to go far and decided to try lunch at Cafe Rimón across the street from Blue Magic Scuba. My friends ordered pasta… One, a vegetarian, got a delicious alfredo with a whole lot of mushrooms. The second one got the pasta with salmon.The pasta tasted house made, definitely what I would order if I went back. I had the french fries with Parmesan and Rosemary. The flavor was perfect, the fries, however, were a little limp. I also ordered the fried eggplant, a mistake. I think the dish might have had promise if prepared well… At first bite I was intrigued with the sauce and the bitterness of the egg plant but a little put off by not so fresh tomatoes. Under that, was burned eggplant. I mean, I like the flavor of a little char, but this was inedible-incredibly bitter big black pieces of burned stuff-the main reason for my four-star review. I didn’t have to pay for it, and I did get to wipe my mushroom pasta friend’s plate with french fries, so it was not a total loss. We had a good time there, and would definitely go back.

Cafe Rimon is a kosher dairy/vegetarian restaurant located in Cozumel. The staff is friendly, the service is impeccable and the restaurant is immaculate The food is delicious, the menu diverse, the prices are extremely reasonable. You can sit inside or outside. You dont feel rushed and the atmosphere is relaxed Highly recommend you eat here. You won’t be disappointed

La comida, nada extraordinaria. Ensaladas sin gracia y pizzas insípidas. El menú estaba despedazado, a la mesera le falta entrenamiento y no tienen los ingredientes de los ítems del menú. Cozumel tiene una oferta gastronómica muy interesante así que no vale la pena investigar otros lugares.

We ran into this little restaurant because the restaurant we chose appeared to be closed on mondays (and sundays). We were helped by a very friendly lady who did everything to make our evening great. The food was nice. Even though there were some things they didn't have anymore, they offered us a good replacement (sweet potato fries instead of french fries). The food was good.

Finally Kosher food! The manager is very friendly and took care of all of us. We ordered the salmon and it was very tasty. Would definitely come back here again!
