It got a little warm by the time we left, but not too bad. My wife ordered the chicken rolled up with spinach and onion inside and it came with penne pasta with a pesto sauce, she loved it! I barely got a small taste. I ordered the lasagna and it was very good and decent size portion. The dinners come with soup, a small salad and a basket of the best garlic bread we’ve ever tasted. When they noticed our basket was empty, they quickly refilled it. We split a tiramisu for dessert and it was excellent. They will deliver food to your hotel/condo for free, so we will do that before we leave.
We finally tried this restaurant after talking about doing it for twenty years. Four of us took a taxi there on a cloudy, misty day, to have lunch. We were all so impressed that we had to go back again before our friends had to go home. Everything was perfect for both visits. We all had various dishes, and no one was disappointed. Get the Watermelon infused water if you are not having wine or beer. The Tiramisu is also excellent.
Lovely setting, great service and delicious food- what more can you ask! Our group of five each tried a different entree and everyone was well pleased. Menu varies day to day, so you don’t know what will be on offer. We loved it!
Wow. That's all I can say. First time trying La Cucina Italiana last week and it most definitely won't be the last. This is now a must do each and every time I am on the island! We actually went twice for dinner. It was a little different than I imagined when you walk in, it's a house turned restaurant and there are trays on the counter. The owner/chef shows you each of the meals they have available for the day (about 6 7 choices each day). We had (in no particular order): Lasagna, Spaghetti Bolognese, Stuffed Chicken Breast and Chicken Stuffed Cannellinis. Oh. My. Gosh. Everything was amazing. Each dinner comes with Minestrone soup, salad and bread. Be sure to save room for the tiramisu! It's not like any I have had before and it's incredible! The sangria was also wonderful probably the best I have ever had. Also, it's so cheap! Around $150 pesos for soup, salad, bread and entree. I believe the first night we paid $27 (before tip) for two meals, two desserts and two cokes. This would easily cost 4x as much in the states. My only complaint (and it's not really a complaint), is that they close at 6 pm. If you are on the fence about trying La Cucina Italiana just go!!!
It was amazing, the food is prepared in the morning we really enjoyed our delicious meal . The staff is very careful and the price is very affordable for this high quality restaurant !
