Food was served in the garden home. I'm from San Antonio TX, and her Mexican food is amazing. Owner Ruby of the house can be booked. [email protected]
My wife and I were in Cozumel for the day during a cruise stop and were really looking forward to trying this place, due to the reviews. But I have to say that the fajitas were the worst fajitas we have ever eaten or should I say attempted to eat. We took two bites of the cold, 3 day old gristle and almost choked. Our jaws literally got sore from chewing. We have eaten Mexican food all over and please believe me when I say, skip this hole in the wall unless you want a hole in your wallet with nothing to show for it.
We stumbled upon this restaurant after making a wrong turn and we are so happy we found it. I had the Mexican omelette and coffee, my husband had the bacon and eggs. Our tortillas were hot and fresh, the food was delicious and the coffee was AMAZING. They charge per cup but it was worth it, there must be crack in it. I highly recommend visiting this place for breakfast. We weren't able to go back for lunch or dinner but its probably good.
Our hosts at Villa Escondida, Magda and David, took my wife Shirley and I here for a late lunch on a Tuesday, when the special is Chiles Rellenos. Possibly the best chile relleno I have ever had! Served with soup, tortillas, beans and rice at a super low price, I will never miss a Tuesday on Cozumel without visiting here.
This is our favorite restaurant on the whole island .Everything is fresh and delicious. Great grilled fish tacos, homemade chips and tortillas and awesome quacamole. Atmosphere is a local vibe and exceptionally clean. Have a beverage and watch the show in the kitchen.
