Still think about this place months after going. Truly unmatched pita and hummus (especially the lamb ragu), the harissa chicken was cooked to perfection and yummy every step of the way. Great service too, and oh get an underberg for dessert! Can't wait to return!
I liked the Falafel because it tasted genuinely original. My wife liked her fish too. Our daughter, however, didn’t like the food and eat one or 2 bites. I tasted it too and found it to be plain chicken. Cooked well, but they probably forgot to put the spices. For the price we paid, we expected a better meal. The service was great.
Talk about a religious experience with food! Went for a late brunch with my husband and ate a series of small plates with drinks after walking around the garden district. If they have the Blue Crab Hummus do yourself a favor and order it!!! I can’t tell you how delicious everything is you just have to experience it.
I went to Saba the first time for dinner without reservation, after moving my son to college us having missed our reservations at another restaurant after being stuck in an elevator at dorm for 3 hours. Needless to say the fact that they took us was a deeply appreciated. It was delicious! The flavor profile pairings was something we hadn’t had before. When I went back to Nola I went for mother’s brunch with both my kids. One of them said I’ve never wanted to say “give my regards to the chef before!” It was amazing! Chef Marie has a gift! Our server Heather was helpful, friendly, attentive and a real delight. The blue crab hummus and cocktails aren’t to be missed. Try something new and expand your taste buds as well as your waistline and enjoy this great Nola gem.
