The chicken thighs were the best we had ever had as were the greens. My husband was obsessed with them. And then the chocolate cake to finish off was so balanced and delicious! Really was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend!
I ate here on a visit 6 years ago, and it was my first item when I planned this weekend's trip to New Orleans! I had two cocktails (the refreshing Kill Dill vol 1 and the flirtatious Fabuloso), Fried Chicken Oysters (delightful spice in the batter, texture like a chicken nugget), Venison (I cried at how much this thoughtfully-prepared and respectful game dish pulled me to memories of home), the best cornbread I have ever eaten, and a peanut butter and jelly chocolate cake (playful and intelligent), all for about $150. I tell everyone about this place and will be here every time I am in New Orleans.
Was greeted and seated right away as we had a reservation. Seated in a corner behind a huge table of 10. Took awhile to make an order. Finally got a cocktail. Got food. Was excellent other than everything has crazy amounts of jalepenos.Never again we're asked if we wanted a drink, another cocktail or anything. They seated another table of 10 next to us and we were forgotten. Took over 1/2 hour once we asked for the check to even get that. Not a happy customer. Felt like we were treated poorly because of the bigger table they turned and reset. 1st and last time we will visit. Maybe takeout but we won't dine in. Their was another 2 top near us that told us they felt the same way
Saw chef Isaac Toups on top Chef and was intrigued by his food. I wasn't disappointed. it would of been nice to actually meet him but being fathers day I'm sure he deserved the day off.
A quaint elevated Cajun restaurant in mid-city. Amazing flavors, casual and eclectic ambiance. Excellent service and delicious food. You'd be hard pressed to find a better Cajun place in the city.
