Witchmount Winery - Craigieburn

I know that this may be the wine speaking but this place is terrific. The wines are very high quality and the staff advise is awesome too. No pretense here. We came for a wine tasting in the early afternoon, just in time for a late lunch. The winery cleverly has a food truck - Donald and Tuck - here to temp you with a short menu of tasty fare. So we settled in to a lazy wine tasting and lunch. The cheese platter is wonderful value and included some of my favorite cheese types. Can you picture it? Good wine and food in a picturesque locale with James Bradley playing boldly in the background. Donald and Tuck have a very creative menu that accommodates small and bigger appetites. Sliders is the new buzz and though that doesn't do it for me my partner thoroughly enjoyed the Kylie Minogue Slider with its Bacon Jam. Wow!

We visited Witchmount on a lovely Sunday afternoon for lunch with my family and a friend's.The restaurant was lovely surrounded by the vineyard and was served by the most lovely lady you could ever ask for. She took us through the entire menu and this made our selection that much easier. We also had their specialty Shiraz while listening to the history of the vineyard.The food was lovely and the service was impeccable. We had a lovely time sampling each others dishes and enjoying our own while the kids ran around the restaurant. The restaurant had only a few patrons and they didn't mind our kids at all.After lunch we had a quiet stroll around the vineyard. We could not do the wine tasting although that was on the cards initially.Witchmount was located only 15 minutes drive from Caroline Springs where we stayed so its located pretty conveniently. Also the entire surroundings have been planned really well. Make sure you make arrangements to spend a bit of time at the vineyard.Its two thumbs up all the way...

We attended with about 15 family members for lunch. The food was great and the wine excellent. Service with a smile but courses were a bit slow in conning out, although it seemed to be a full house.Beautiful surroundings, a great place for Sunday lunch or dinner.

Really enjoyed our visit to this restaurant, it is quite expensive, however the food is delicious, the service impeccable - so well worth trying, we will visit again.

Beautiful venue for a classy intimate wedding. Stunning set-up inside, gorgeous outdoor pergola area for the ceremony and lovely grounds. Food was good, resident band was great, and very entertaining. Fireworks at the end were spectacular, all in all a very special evening.
