It was some of the best catfish I'd had in a while. They were extremely attentive and gave great customer service. I can't wait for you guys to open back up.
Fantastic fried fish and shrimp! The service is friendly and kind. The fish is very clean with a fine breading fried to perfection. The tartar sauce has a great dill flavor. We will be back for sure!
I dunno if its new management, but no one seems to know what 's goin on. Order took forever. In the middle they came and said the bread wasnt right for my kids grilled cheese. Sad to lose one of the few good mom and pop establishments we had in our town.
Fantastic food, people, and ambiance! Love it! I've had the fried catfish, fried jumbo shrimp, fried popcorn shrimp, hush puppies, fries, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. All incredibly good! Please support their small business to keep them in business! We always need good seafood where we can get it!
I must say, I was VERY excited to try this place. I pass by it all the time and I see they have quite a bit of loyal customers.I finally had time to stop by recently and am pleased to say I was not disappointed! The little place itself is comfy and rustic/modern looking. Good A/C, always a plus in TEXAS heat! I wasn 't greeted immediately, but I approached the counter when I felt ready and placed my order. At first I was surprised that you could get so much fish for such a decent price, but then was made aware by the girl at the register that their pieces are not entire fillets, but actually about a 1/3rd of a fillet each. That is pretty important, and that is probably my only drawback here, it 's a bit expensive, even for a fried catfish joint. I also ordered a few stuffed jalapeños for good measure. Either way, I had my order packaged up and quickly walked to my truck to begin my feast! Of course, I quickly had to pause because they forgot my hot sauce... lol. I reluctantly walked back in, wondering if it was even worth it since it meant waiting a few minutes longer to dive into the already deliciously fragrant meal that I had waiting for me! I ran back out to my truck and opened my to-go plate. Fresh, thick, crispy, flaky catfish pieces greeted my eyes and nose, as well as hush puppies, fries, and some tartar sauce. The stuffed jalapeños were surprisingly large (not that I 'm complaining), and I was more than ready to dig in! The fish was PERFECT. Hot and fresh, and nothing short of heavenly! I really don 't enjoyed it with the lime, hot sauce, and tartar sauce. Hush puppies and fries were crispy and fried well. The stuffed jalapeños were okay... but, unfortunately I didn 't enjoy them as much as the rest of the meal. It was sort of heavy on the breading, but the real part that was lacking here was the cheese. Usually a creamy cheese is used in these peppers, but these had some type of hard cheddar cheese that sort of separated in a very stringy way, and released too much oil. So much oil quickly became too much. Needless to say, I only had a piece of one. Besides the stuffed jalapeños, this place does catfish RIGHT. Highly recommended, but just a caution, prices are a bit higher than normal. I 'm not %100 sure, but I believe this place used to be located in Seagoville, in a very small trailer-like structure. Either way, give them a try!
