The staff are friendly efficient, service was quick and so was the food. There were some interesting local beers that they were happy to let us try. I pre booked and preordered for a table 9 people (to facilitate feeding us all) for Saturday, early evening. We received a genuine welcome from the Landlord. The pub has a wonderful atmosphere. Once we were seated, the food came very soon after. The choice on the menu was very varied so all in our party were able to be accommodated. The served us up huge portions, very well cooked and prepared and beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The food is very reasonably priced. All in all it is a beautiful old fashioned pub with a lovely old fashioned charm and history. We highly recommend it. Vegetarian options: 2 of our party are vegetarians, We were very happy with the food we ate. Parking: There are some off street parking spaces out the front and there is a village car park very close by.
