Restaurant Plumachit - Crans-Montana

The location is ideal for hikers and skiers alike. The food is traditional. The outstanding bit is the friendly service.

Today I saw a white squirrel. Only my excitement, but I never knew they existed. Going to the Rues of Crans and Montana almost every day, I meet native animals with great pride from their rich owners, but also wild animals...that în learns a great lesson: they should not fear Humains. Every day I hear hundreds of birds, now and then a rabbit goes on my way, or a frightened fox. We think too much and feel too little. We have forgotten to look at, we forgot Joy, we forgot patience, we criticize others because of our fru stations, we live în the era of fast food, and by Chef Etchebest. Stop! If you want fast food, try MC Do. If you are a fan of Chef Etchebest, then don't belong here, then pay a meat at Hostelerie de Plaisance! I pass Plumachit almost every week, and once I eat there. Yes, the service was slow, but... We are the mountains here, not în Zürich Bahnhoff. Let's give this restaurant a chance, after all, it is one of the 3 best restaurants where you can get a good meal when you have created Pass Bisse de Tsittorret (the best place nature and Humain, located between Crans-Montana, les Violettes and Aminona right from the Rhône, a panoramic path with spectacular views over the Valais Alps and the 4000 meter high peaks of Val dAnvier). Yes, stick stones it easy, but let's forget anger for a while, and let's look around, I'm sure hungry can wait a while if we're privileged with this view! Book the place for lunch in winter time. When we arrived at 13:00, there were no places and most tables were booked for 13:00 or 13:30. We found a table. The place was full, but we were served fast. Unfortunately the dish of the day (20 pieces) spaghetti with meat and the part was very small. We had to order another court when we were hungry. The speciality of the place is a bread soaked in wine with lots of cheese and egg (I hung the picture). The dessert was also delicious.

This was not our first visit, however we wanted to give them another chance. the waiter attending to our table was completely disorganized, food was slow to come (more than 1 hour for the menu of the day and cold meat platter) and about average...when it came to presentation and taste. people around us had been waiting over 1 hour for their salad so we were not isolated cases. as i said this was not our first visit, we have come in winter during ski season with the same level of service. i would strongly encourage people not to go or return; their good location makes it too easy for them so they make absolutely no effort to be friendly and provide good service which does not help the image of switzerland towards tourists

This restaurant has a lot going for it in terms of location and view. The service, however, is appalling. On the day we attended two women were attempting to serve the whole very busy terrace. When one of our party hesitated while ordering a drink,...the waitress walked off. A local man who appeared familiar with the restaurant advised us to complain as the understaffing was regularly like this. The food when it finally arrived was fine, but after sitting in the cold for over an hour, all we could do was wolf it down and leave as soon as possible. This restaurant relies entirely on its location and a captive audience. To be so poorly staffed at the height of the season and when there are plenty of local children on holiday and available to work is inexcusable.
