Black Horse - Craven

Popped in for lunch during the week. I got served promptly and loved sitting in a booth. Can’t fault the place as loads of character and good value for money

I came to this restaurant for a drink this evening and was given an old £5 note as change. When I tried to spend it, I was refused and the barman was extremely rude, insisting he didn't give it to me even though I only had a £20 note and no other change. This place is full of con artists. I will not be returning. Additionally, they took the note from me and kept it. This is absolutely disgusting. They did not exchange the note, they just stole it.

We recently visited our favorite pub and had a disappointing experience. We were ignored by the staff at the bottom bar, as they were only serving customers at the top bar. The bartender didn't acknowledge my husband and walked away without serving us. Another employee finally informed us that we needed to go to the top bar for service. When we approached the top bar, the same bartender said he would be with us shortly but never returned. This was not the level of service we have come to expect during our two years of visiting this establishment.

We came on a coach trip and came here for food and drink. We was served by two young boys called Sam and Graham, they was exceptionally polite and are such a credit for the pub to have

Bottle of Ghost ship, non alcoholic beer £5.60 I know they have to make a profit but this beer is only£2 per bottle in the supermarket. Even the girl behind the bar said she was embarrassed asking that amount. Have a rethink manager!
