State park with full hookups! Staff pointed out sites with mature trees for us. Quiet, though full. The history piece makes the stay all the better. Nice scenic drives in the area (dirt roads, don't bring your Lexus), especially the Sowbelly loop, offered wildlife, hikes and geo-tourism. Stayed 3 nights, toured the grounds and both museums.
Beautiful place! Was visiting on my way to Wyoming and stop by the museum to pick up some gifts. The actual museum is small but has everything you need.
Highly recommend a visit to Ft. Robinson. Spend a couple of days! Some of the museums are closed on Sunday so plan your visit accordingly. We camped the camping facilities are clean and well taken care of. Beautiful area with very interesting history!
The museum is intriguing, but the introductory video really covers everything. They missed an opportunity to make it more "kid-friendly" with an information scavenger hunt or something similar. It's engaging for adults. Plan about 30-60 minutes for the tour. The staff is excellent!
