You can say, effort is there through food quality, attention to cooking things exactly right, and the amount of attention by the employees. This was a great stop for us to eat dinner before the last hours of the trip to the north ended. This place was worth the stop.
We stopped for a late lunch and were very happy. Friendly staff and the food were very good. We had the grilled chicken sandwich that was very good! I looked at the desserts and pissed on the chocolate cream bee! I wish I could've tried the other desserts, as they also looked scrumbling! The bill for two sandwiches and a piece of cake was around $21. Can't beat it!
I've eaten three or four times at Old South restaurant. I think the best on the menu is the chicken steak, with white engraving and one side of potatoes with white engraving. Everything is handmade there, the vegetables the desserts. Really good food and quite large portions to
We stopped by waiting for food cooked by a good country. It was terrible. My son ordered chicken pliers and they brought him a frozen chicken patty in slices. My wife couldn't even make her Lima beans. They had no taste.
My father and I have been here a few times and I like this little small town staple. The service is always excellent and the food reminds me of up north diner food. The fried seafood platters are good, as is the hamburger steak which my father seems to love. I definitely recommend stopping in.
