Minskys Hotel - Cremorne

Yeah, it's Minsky's, but this is getting five glorious stars because it's just a balls-out good time, the kind it's hard to find in Sydney anymore.

Not a venue for people who like to meet others and have a good time predominantly due to this security person named Siso or Cecil from the Ivory Coast but

Beer is expensive over $7 except for happy hour when it returns to normal prices $5 to $6. Ordered food Table service yes but no utensils or napkins delivered.

Ive been a couple of times now and its simply a convenience place really. A sort of land mark because its been around a long time in various forms. Nothing much to want to make you keep coming back . Nothing to make you want to make it your regular. Its simply an ok bar that lacks any sort of character. Its not cosy but its not a big festive space. Its got some reasonably fun live music nights that are ok. The drinks are ok and the service is ok. I cant complain about it but I wouldn't 'bust a gut' to get back to it. Handy if you're a local though and no reason not to visit.

Very good food and check the website for daily specials, these provide good value. Drinks at pub prices so very affordable. Also has specialty wines to spoil yourself.
